Morning Star, Legends of the Sacred Cups, is a supernatural thriller with the excitement and adventure of Indian Jones and the mystery and intrigue of The Da Vinci Code. It presents a modern version of the search for the Holy Grail, in which a black and a white magician race to find five sacred stone cups. Whoever possesses the cups has the power to control the world. The main characters are: ISABELLA, a reclusive, anthropology professor; MARIA, Isabella’s former nanny and a Mexican shaman; DOMASO, the sadistic leader of The Knights of the Raven’s Eye, an occult terrorist society; ARTHUR, Isabella’s husband and an apprentice in the Knights’ society; and PETER, Isabella’s lover and protector.
Isabella’s quiet life changes radically when she discovers Arthur’s plot to murder her to fulfil a requirement for initiation into the Knights of the Raven’s Eye. Isabella escapes to Mexico, where she spent her early childhood. She is delighted to find Maria, who reveals to her that she is the chosen savior of the sacred cups. Maria teaches Isabella about DNA coding, reincarnation, life after death and telepathic communication. Simultaneously, Domaso conducts ceremonies which invoke Ennubis, God of the Underworld, whom he asks to assist him in his plan to assume global power by controlling the world’s resources. Maria shows Isabella how to fight against Domaso’s telepathic assassination attempts and explains how important it is to find the cups at this exact point in our planetary history. When Arthur murders Maria, Isabella is forced to go on the search alone. She meets Peter, a veteran of the Gulf War, whom Maria has asked to protect her. Isabella’s and Peter’s romance develops during the race, although it comes close to an end when Peter’s fears of inadequacy cause him to temporarily abandon Isabella.
As Isabella evolves spiritually, her dreams reveal her intimate connection in past lives with the sacred cups. Early in her work with Maria, Isabella dreams that the Egyptian goddess, Isis, tells a high priestess to take the cups to a holy man in Jerusalem. Just before he dies, this man gives a cup to each of his closest students. They take the cups for safe-keeping to France, England, Spain, Thailand, Greece and Persia. Five hundred years later a small group of Catholic priests sail with them to America. The priests entrust the cups to Mayan priestesses in Mexico.
Isabella’s psychic abilities and supernatural powers increase as she gains trust in her inner wisdom and intuitive guidance. Peter confronts his fears of intimacy and accepts his obligation to protect Isabella and the cups. Domaso tries unsuccessfully to possess Isabella’s soul. He becomes increasingly frustrated by Isabella’s ability to resist his attacks and spoil his grandiose plans. Isabella eventually faces her fears of abandonment and the truth about her marriage.
When Isabella gains possession of the five cups, after destroying Damaso with her telepathic power, she arranges them in a pattern only she knows. The formation of this pattern activates stones brought from space long ago, which are buried under the Mayan temples. This, in turn, ignites an interplanetary light force. This light flows into the Earth’s atmosphere, purifying the earth, water and air. Rain showers the Earth and life is renewed once again.
This story offers a powerful message of hope and faith in the ability that every person has to maximize their potential. Its purpose is to enlighten and empower audiences to trust in their intuitive guidance and to seek opportunities, which will bring them joy, love, fulfillment and productivity. Although Morning Star, Legends of the Sacred Cups has a serious spiritual message, it will have people laughing, crying, cheering and sitting on the edge of their seats.
ISABELLA, a reclusive, shy anthropology professor, discovers that she is the
only person in the world who can prevent DOMASO, an evil black magician, from
taking over the world. She is married to ARTHUR, an abusive, disloyal man, and
has one loving daughter, ALEX. Although she is aware that Arthur is cheating
on her, she cannot leave him because of her deep fears of abandonment. When she
learns he is planning to murder her as an initiation rite into Damaso’s
society, she summons the courage to escape to Mexico. Isabella, who rarely
leaves her house in Santa Fe, NM except to shop and work, gradually accepts responsibility
for her global mission. As she battles against Arthur and Domaso, she gains confidence
in her intuition and spiritual power. She transforms her fears, which enables
her to open her heart and accept her role as savior of the sacred cups.
DOMASO is a successful real estate developer from Mexico. His business
is a front for his engagement in a plot to assume global power through the
implementation of his skills as a black magician. He learned the practice of
black magic from his father, who initiated all his children by branding them
with the sign of a raven’s eye. Although his sisters resisted the branding,
Domaso proudly accepted it. He grew up to be a lonely, isolated man, afraid
of love and physical contact. He becomes increasing angry and frustrated, when
his magic does not bring the results he wants. Domaso dies, remorseless and
abandoned by his son, the only person he loves.
MARIA is a Mexican shaman, who is a housekeeper in a Catholic nunnery.
She is Domaso’s younger sister and suffered the same childhood abuse
that he did. She worked with black magic as a child but later learned to follow
the path of the Light. After she ran away from from her village, Isabella’s
parents hired her to be a nanny for their children. When Isabella and Maria
reunite, Maria gradually passes on her wisdom and spiritual knowledge to Isabella. Maria
saves Isabella’s life, but she dies at the hand of Arthur, Isabella’s
husband.
ARTHUR is the son of a depressed woman and an absent Armey officier.
He was beaten often in childhood and learned early in life that seduction was
a means, though temporary, to personal power. He admires strong men and has
a deep need for male bonding. He loves Isabella but he is not able to resist
his attraction to other women. Arthur faces a difficult decision in which he
must choose between Isabella’s life and initiation into Domaso’s
society. His conflict is resolved when he dies saving Isabella from being killed
by one of Domaso’s men.
PETER is a former soldier from the Gulf War. He has Anthrax poisoning and
Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome. After the war, he lives in Mexico, where he
finds Maria who becomes a close friend and healer of his war wounds. His relationship
with his demanding, sadistic father, whom he both loves and hates, has created
a strong sense of inadequacy and a deep fear of intimacy. With Isabella’s
help he faces his phobias, which are the result of childhood abuse. But his
deep-seated fears and post-traumatic stress drive him to abandon Isabella.
When he is able to face his fears, he returns and commits himself to her and
the battle against Domaso.
ALEX is Isabella’s hippie daughter, who joins her mother in the race for the cups. She is spunky, sensitive and supportive of her mother’s spiritual transformation.
JUSTIN is the son of Peter’s childhood friend, who leaves the Knights of the Raven’s Eye after Domaso murders his mother. He is skeptical about Isabella’s mission and the spiritual power of the cups, until he witnesses a miraculous healing.
HERNANDO is an old Mexican shaman and the brother of Maria and Domaso. He guides Isabella as she reunites the cups at the end of her search.
These characters have often been together in past incarnations. Isabella’s dreams and visions of these incarnations give her clues in the search for the cups. The same actors play both the present and past life characters.
JOSIAH is a holy man in Jerusalem. He has not incarnated in this current life time but he plays a pivotal role in the history of the cups.

CAROLYN E. COBELO, MSW, is a filmmaker, author, game producer, artist and spiritual healer. She practiced transpersonal psychology and spiritual healing for 20 years before transitioning into the visual arts and filmmaking.
The foundation of Morning Star, Legends of the Sacred Cups comes from her own personal spiritual journey, which includes the study and practice of Laying on of Hands, Intuitive Guidance, Hinduism, Buddhism and Zoroastrianism.
Carolyn was the founder and director of The School of Akashic Healing in New York City and Buenos Aires, which was a two-year training program in Laying on of Hands, Intuitive Guidance and Transpersonal Psychology. She is the author of Akashic Evolution; The Spring of Hope, Messages from Mary; The Power of Sacred Space, Exploring Ancient Ceremonial Sites and Akashic Evolution. Carolyn also designed and produced a board game, Avalon, The Temple of Connection. All these works are available through national distributors.
Carolyn grew up in the Unitarian Church, where she learned about the value of humanitarian service and that Jesus was a great prophet. There was no mention of God as a supreme being or the divinity of Jesus. Her spiritual awakening came when she was initiated by Swami Muktananda, in 1978. As was the custom, she bowed before Muktananda and he touched her head with a wand of peacock feathers. When she looked up, she could see nothing but red-orange light. This awakening began a long search for the understanding of the spiritual world. Later she translated her knowledge into lectures, workshops, seminars , books and her board game. In the 1990’s Carolyn led pilgrimages to sacred places in the Middle East, Europe and North and South America.
As Carolyn’s intuitive abilities developed, she discovered the amazing world of subtle light and sound. She saw multi-colored rays of light move in and out of people. She channeled chants from unknown cultures and spoke in strange languages. She witnessed psychic operations and watched scenes from her own and others’ past lives. Visions of deities, angels, spirit guides and extra-terrestrials flowed through her mind in meditation and healing sessions. She learned to augment healing light and to recognize and disengage from negative entities and black light. Carolyn has also functioned as a human acupuncture needle in the sacred places she visited, releasing the collective pain and fear held there.
After Carolyn’s husband died in a car accident, she moved into creativity as a vehicle for her personal healing. This resulted in production of five books, a series of spirit sculptures, the game of Avalon and several film scripts. Morning Star, Legends of the Sacred Cups, is the first of a three part series, which includes the same main characters set in different times and circumstances.
It has been a long journey since her initiation by Mutananda in 1978. She is grateful for the opportunity that Morning Star, Legends of the Sacred Cups gives her to share the magic and mystery she has experienced in her own life.
